Tonight Dad and I talked about labor a little bit. Dad thinks you're going to come and high noon on 10/11/12, which is your exact due date. His reasoning is that we're both very punctual.
I have a bad feeling you're going to be a long time after your due date and require us to make decisions about induction and pitocin and other scary things. But that's mostly because I always assume the most complicated situation will be upon us.
I think I imagine you coming at night. It seems the kind of thing that should happen before dawn, a symbolic start of a new day before the physical sun comes up. I imagine the calm after the storm of birth, the final few hours of night.
What a moment that is going to be.
