Dear Tiny,

We moved two days ago and already we had two gifts in our mailbox for you! First up was Sima, who sent us a book to read to you while you're in my belly. I read it this morning to you over breakfast... and it got me super-psyched for the day when you learn to read:

Then we got home today to a package from our lovely friend Meg in Philly. She'd sent homemade cookies! They totally hit the spot and it was an awesome dessert surprise:

Cookies and books! You're lucky, kid!

Love,
Mama

Dear Tiny,

I overdid it yesterday during the move and today I felt really tired and needed to rest a lot. Thanks for helping me slow down. I have a feeling you're going to help us do that a bunch.

Love,
Mama

Dear Tiny,

We're snug in our new home, the first place you'll live after you're born. Your first bedroom is going to be great!

Mama

Dear Tiny,

Your Dad and I are getting our new apartment ready for tomorrow - Moving Day! Aunt Kate and Nana are coming to help us and so are some of our friends (who you will get to know and love one day!).

I was just cleaning the kitchen and thinking about how many people are excited to meet you in October. You will learn that every person on the earth has different challenges and realities about their lives; yours will not include a lack of people who wanted you to exist. Your Dad and I have spent many years filling our lives with wonderful people and the great news is that you get to inherit them all. Lucky you!

Love,
Mama

Dear Tiny,

Today we're going to interview a bunch of interns. You've been along for a number of HR meetings at this point... maybe you'll grow up to be a mediator or work at the U.N.!

I tried to lay quietly for a while this morning to see if I could feel you, but so far no dice. Maybe you're still too tiny. Your Dad read that someone's baby kicked the laptop that was resting on her stomach and couldn't believe that babies could kick so hard. Maybe in a few months that'll be you!

Love,
Mama

Dear Tiny,

This morning you prevented me from seeing straight down past my stomach for the first time. You are expanding!

Love,
Mama
